DICE’s Alan Kertz, one of the lead designers of Battlefield 3 (and an avid Tweeter), has confirmed that Battlefield 3 will ship with 9 maps, a fact we’ve known since GamesCom. However, Kertz also revealed that all 5 game modes — Conquest, Conquest 64, Rush, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch — will be available on all 9 maps.
In addition to the 9 maps, those who have pre-ordered Battlefield 3 (1.25 million of you), will be getting additional 4 maps from the Back to Karkand expansion pack: Strike At Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Sharqi Peninsula and Wake Island.

In BF2 hatte man ja als guter Pilot so was um die 72/3 und so :D
Da ging ich immer drauf als guter Infanterist^^
Zum Thema: 13 Maps reichen völlig für den Anfang, man muss sich ja auch noch einspielen und so ;)
GAMEfest recently did a twitter based interview with KM the General Manager of DICE talking about Battlefield 3. One of the questions gave a spark into the role of the squad leader in Battlefield 3′s multiplayer. Since the announcement by the developers not to include commander mode, there is a strong interest in how the system will be made up for. In Battlefield 2, A squad leader’s role was to set orders for the players and to work together to capture points, destroy objectives and so forth. Whether you had a microphone or not, based on the map markers, you could easily know where to head in order to support your fellow squad mates.
Recently, a Battlefield 3 Multiplayer fact sheet was released that mentioned Squad only perks. These abilities will be applied to fellow squad members. Upgrades such as explosive power and flak jackets are apart of this. From KM’s statement “squad leaders who can set orders and strategize.” This could be a hint that the order system will be returning from Battlefield 2. DICE stated recently that there will be team wide VOIP which would enable squad leaders to communicate with others. Bad Company 2 didn’t have this feature (On PC) making it difficult for squads to work together in some grand plan. IF Battlefield 3 does indeed bring back the order system, hopefully there will be a way for Squad Leaders to see other squads orders so that they can coordinate attacks accordingly. Without the Commander, measures to tie the team together need to be used.

Ich hoffe Dice macht die balance so, das so was nicht mehr funktioniert bei Battlefield 3!
Für sowas gab es ja bei BF.2 den Lanmodus,da konnte man jede x-Beliege Map in jeder Größe starten(16,32,64Size) zum üben :shifty:

aber nein da sieht man das Konsolen immer bevorzugt werden und wegen dem scheiß müssen wir leiden. Alles immer nur leere Versprechungen von Dice wie immer.

Oder wie bei BF1943, was 1 Jahr nach der Konsolenversion für PC kommen sollte und dann einfach gecancelt wurde.....
