did you try downloading the missing Library (zlib122.dll) and copying it?

i copy the dll... things from my old BF2 folder.

when i start Bf2,i land on desktop without message ?!
i deleted the string from 1.03 (it says,you must do that)

I figured out the same Problem (sudden CTD) with Win7...

CD hab ich auch nicht mehr,dass heisst kann es nicht deinstallieren.
Probier mal: Als Administrator ausführen, Kompatibilitätsmodus WinXP und Desktopgestaltung deaktivieren. Hat bei mir geholfen.
und wenn ich bf2 starte,dann seh ich so unten rechts nen fesnter mit design wurde geändert oder so was..
kann es sein,dass die grafikeintellungen nicht mehr stimmt für bf2?
bei 1.03 ging es!
